I think the BCS trophy from year before last sits at LSU unless they let USC borrow it.

Welcome to the USSA!
They do have a trophy, it looks just like the trophy that basketball teams recieve for winning the national title.
Even the BCS recognizes them as a national champion in 2003. Some of you people are the biggest haters Ive ever seen in my life. What USC did is one of the greatest accomplishments in the history of the sport. Back to back titles is nothing to sneeze at. Anybody that doesnt accept that USC was a co-national champion in 2003 is in disrespect of the game and frankly dilusional. Hell they were #1 in both polls. They would have been voted national champs by the coaches too had the coaches not been forced to vote for LSU due to a binding agreement.
From the official bcs website
2003
For the only time since the BCS was formed, there is a split national champion. LSU finishes atop the coaches' poll by beating Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl in a pairing of the top two teams in the BCS Standings. USC, ranked first in both polls on Bowl Selection Sunday, is left out of the BCS championship game when the Trojans finish third in the BCS standings. But USC wins the Associated Press' championship after beating Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Oklahoma, which spent the season as the top-ranked team in both polls, earns a spot in the Sugar Bowl by finishing first in the final BCS Standings even though the Sooners lose to Kansas State in the Big 12 championship game. LSU, the SEC champion, edges USC for second place in the final BCS Standings to advance to the Sugar Bowl.
The Conference Champions
Atlantic Coast: Florida State (10-2)
Big East: Miami (10-2)
Big Ten: Michigan (10-2)
Big 12: Kansas State (11-3)
Pac-10: USC (11-1)
Southeastern: LSU (12-1)
Other Participants
Oklahoma (12-1)
Ohio State (10-2)
The Matchups
Sugar: (2) LSU 21, (1) Oklahoma 14
Orange: (9) Miami 16, (7) Florida State 14
Rose: (3) USC 28, (4) Michigan 14
Fiesta: (5) Ohio State 35, (10) Kansas State 28
The Result
A split decision: LSU finishes atop the coaches' poll; USC is No. 1 in the Associated Press poll.
The BCS recognizes USC as co champs in 2003, why cant you guys.

I thought the NCAA didn't award a national championship to anyone?

exactly, so I don`t get the point in sayin it's a 3 peat, show me the gold or in this case the glass ball
They dont, Im saying thats what it looks like. Its long and slinder and looks like a plaque. Its wooden and has the golden pieces on it like all the ncaa trophies look. Ive seen the miami ones from back in the day.
i dont see how they have been considering USC a 3peat
